Lovell Selected as ADA Delegate
Adrian Lovell, DMD Class of 2010, has been selected to serve as a Delegate to the 2009 American Dental Association’s (ADA) House of Delegates during the ADA’s annual meeting, Sept. 30 – Oct. 6 in Honolulu.
Nguyen Wins AAO Award
Dr. Vo Danh M. Nguyen won 3rd place in the basic science category of the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award Competition sponsored by Dentsply GAC at the recent American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) annual meeting in Boston.
Lamont Receives Prestigious NIH Award
Richard Lamont, Ph.D., a professor in the UF College of Dentistry Department of Oral Biology, recently received a MERIT award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), an honor bestowed on less than 5 percent of NIH-funded investigators.
Chehal Awarded for Highest Score
Dr. Hardeep Chehal recently received the William Shafer Award for securing the highest score on the AAOMP Fellowship Examination at the 63rd Annual AAOMP in Montreal, Canada.

Brady Receives Mentoring Award
Jeannine Brady, Ph.D., an associate professor of oral biology at the UF College of Dentistry, was one of four recipients of the 2008-2009 Doctoral Mentoring Award.
2009 Omicron Kappa Upsilon Convocation
The 33rd Convocation of the Xi Omicron Chapter of OKU, a national dental honor society, was held on May 14 at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center. Two UF College of Dentistry faculty members and ten graduating seniors were inducted into
