Summer Learning Program

What is the Summer Learning Program?
A program for Florida residents from educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds or ethnic minority students.
Students will:
- Produce hands-on projects in dental simulation laboratory
- Shadow dental students in clinics
- Explore dentistry and its specialties with dental faculty and students
- Receive one-on-one advising from an admissions officer
- develop interview skills
- draft a personal statement
- Network with faculty and students
And much more!
Eligibility Requirements
- Have a genuine interest in the dental profession.
- Are in the 1st or 2nd year of college.
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Are a resident of Florida.
Are a Minority student (African American, Latino(a), Native American) or educationally or economically disadvantaged.
Program Details
- This is a two week long program which takes place from July 7-18, 2008.
- Students who do not live in Gainesville will stay at a UF student dorm.
