Why is the resolution set so low for scanning documents into AxiUm, and which file type do I need to use when scanning?
The higher the resolution, the longer it takes to retrieve and view the document. Higher resolution takes up more memory so, in a nutshell, we set the resolution on our scanners to 72ppi to keep the system from bogging down when you're retrieving documents. If 72 is too low to read the document when it's printed out, try turning the scan up to 144. But if you scan everything at 300, it will sloooow down the system.
File type can also be critical when scanning documents. Please select "JPG" or "PDF" when scanning and avoid TIF and BMP file types. This will make storing and retrieving your AxiUm documents much faster for you, as well as keeping the data size down.

How do I chart and charge out supernumerary teeth?
When extracting a supernumerary tooth, enter the site as 50 + the site of the closest tooth. For example, a supernumerary close to site 9 would be entered as site 59.
Primary supernumerary teeth are identified by adding the letter "S" after the closest primary tooth. E.g., a supernumerary closest to site C would be entered as CS. Procedures posted to these supernumerary teeth won’t draw on the Dental Chart, but the insurance companies will recognize the values.
