Mission, Vision and Value Statements

The mission of the Office of Information Technology is to provide the infrastructure and services necessary for the College of Dentistry faculty, staff, and students to use technology effectively to fulfil their academic, research and professional goals and to support the vision and mission of the college.

The vision of the Office of Information Technology at the College of Dentistry is to provide the following to all faculty, staff, and students:

• Efficient, robust, secure, up-to-date, and reliable technology services and well-maintained, technology infrastructure to all members of the College of Dentistry.
• Comprehensive, ongoing assessment of available solutions that address current and needed College of Dentistry technology services and equipment.
• Data-driven solutions that enrich the technology services and infrastructure of College of Dentistry.
• Accurate, consistent, and frequent communication regarding current computing services offered and the status of the technology infrastructure, and communication that informs the college about emerging technologies for current and future implementation. Information and leadership that contributes to and sustains the College of Dentistry vision of innovative and effective uses of technology.
• A model of innovative and effective technology use by using technology proficiently in the daily operation of the Office of Information Technology.
• A well trained, highly motivated, ethical, and service oriented staff of technology professionals that fully supports the mission and vision of the Office of Information Technology and of College of Dentistry.
• Quality assistance, first class customer service that empowers College of Dentistry students, faculty, and staff to use technology to fully meet their needs and achieve their goals including teaching, learning, research, and scholarship.
• An environment of mutual respect, flexibility, collaboration, and collegiality within the Office of Information Technology and throughout College of Dentistry.
