Course Description

Dental Missions, Know the Drill (1 CEU)

This program will demonstrate the fabrication of equipment needed to provide restorative dentistry while on a dental mission. All of the necessary materials can be purchased at a local hardware or lumber store for a very reasonable cost. You will also learn how to plan and execute a successful trip that is safe and productive for all.

Gold Foil for the Active Restorative Practice (1 CEU)

This course shows you how gold foil can be incorporated into an active restorative practice and how by using gold as a primary restorative material, especially in virgin caries cases, longevity and health are delivered to the patient.

Course Objectives

At the completion of this program, the participant will be knowledgeable in the planning and execution of dental mission trips. The participant should also understand the value in incorporating gold foil restorations into their dental practices and how to obtain the necessary skills to do this type of restorative dentistry.

Member ADA, FDA (Past President). Active member of the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators. Fellow the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Florida Academy of Practice Administration.
Dr. Henry received the Gold Foil Award, Univ of MD School of Dentistry class of 75, Clinician of the year 2009: The American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, Gamma Pi Delta Honor Prosthetic Society Univ of MD, Humanitarian Award 1997 The Florida Dental Health Foundation
Dr. Henry published numerous articles on gold foil and dental mission efforts over the years in peer reviewed journals.
