Faculty

Dr. Paul A. Guidi
Dr. Guidi is originally from Boston and has been in private practice at his Clearwater office since 1988. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Guidi has been on the faculty of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Department of Graduate Prosthodontics since 2001. He teaches occlusion at the graduate and undergraduate level. Dr. Guidi is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and holds membership in the American Equilibration Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association. Dr. Guidi has spent extensive time studying with mentors such as Peter Dawson and Frank Spear and has completed curriculums at both the Pankey and Misch Institutes.
Dr. Kevin Frazier
Dr. Frazier provides general restorative dentistry services including fillings, crowns, and other esthetic procedures. He has 22 years of private practice and academic experience since completing residency training in 1984. Dr. Frazier is an Associate Professor in Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He received his DMD from the University of Florida in 1983 and completed a GPR at UF in 1984. His background includes private practice and teaching at UF prior to joining Medical College of Georgia in 1995, where he teaches Operative Dentistry, Dental Anatomy and Occlusion, Esthetic Dentistry and Fixed Prosthodontics in technique courses and clinics. His research interests include dental education trends and evaluations of resin-based restorations. He is the SE Regional Director for CODE and is Counselor for the Section on Operative Dentistry and Biomaterials of ADEA.
Dr. Robert Cowie
Dr. Cowie a 1976 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, practices in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a member of the ADA, American Equilibration Society, American and Florida Academies of Dental Practice Administration, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and Toastmaster’s International, as well as a Fellow in the AGD and American College of Dentists. He has completed over 2400 hours of continuing education, including the continuums at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, the Pankey Institute, and the Society for Occlusal Studies. He was featured in Dentistry Today for the fifth straight year as one of the leading educators in dentistry. He has presented over 170 lectures nationally and internationally on restorative procedures, materials, occlusion, and communication skills, and has published articles in Dentistry Today, Journal of Dental Technology, the Ontario Dental Journal, Contemporary Dental Assisting, and Oral Health.
Dr. Annelise Driscoll
Annelise has been in the Healthcare field for 25 years as a Practice Administrator in private medical practices of different disciplines; mainly Ophthalmics and Dental. She completed her Executive MBA from the University of Central Florida, College of Business and her Ph.D in Public Affairs/Healthcare Administration at UCF*s College of Health and Public Affairs. Originally from Oslo, Norway, Annelise has spent the last 25 years creating and managing successful multi-million dollar, multi-doctor practices.
In addition to teaching at the University of Florida, Annelise teaches at UCF in the Health Professions/Health Informatics Management Department of the College of Health and Public Affairs. Practice Management Solutions, Annelise*s consulting firm, specializes in one-on-one assistance with legal compliance, Employee Manual development, HR functions/policies/procedures, and dental systems overhaul for profit maximization.
Her research interests are predominantly dental-related and focus on advancing the Dental Hygiene Practitioner role, Practice Management and legal compliance, HR issues, profit maximization, systems optimization and the future of the private dental practice. In addition, Annelise is currently working on opening the new state-of-the-art UCF Dental Center in the Fall 2009.
