Morton Receives ADEA Award
Nicklaus Morton, D.D.S.
Nicklaus Morton, D.D.S., a resident in the Department of Endodontics, recently received the Journal of Dental Education Outstanding Manuscript Award at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) during their annual meeting in Phoenix, Az.
Morton, who earned his D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2008, received the honor for his manuscript, “Benefits of a Humanistic Education: A Student Perspective."
Morton also recently was appointed to a one-year term on the American Association of Endodontist’s (AAE) Education Affairs Committee.
Born in Reno, Nev., Morton chose Endodontics as his specialty because he “enjoyed doing root canals” more than procedures in other dental specialty areas. Eventually he wants to go into dental education and chose to serve on the AAE committee to contribute to graduate endodontic education and dental education as a whole.
