How do I obtain my Gator 1 (ID) card?
Employees must obtain a Staff and Faculty Authorization form from their department payroll administrator or office manager in order to receive new or replacement Gator 1 Cards. Once the form has been completed (including payment information) and signed at the department level, bring the completed form and a picture ID to the ID Card office in Room C3-303 in the Communicore building. Where can department faculty and staff get portraits taken?
UF Photography offers professional portrait services at a discounted group rate of $20 per person plus an editing fee, which is based on the number of people photographed. A photographer will come to your location, set up a temporary portrait studio and photograph faculty and staff during a set time block. Each subject may choose his or her official portrait on the spot, and the department will be provided with a CD of the portraits to keep on file.

How do I obtain a parking decal?

What are the bus routes and fares?

Who do I contact for a key to my office/the building?
Please speak with the administrator in your department or contact Mary Bennett in the Dean’s Office at 273-5801.
How do I set up my GatorLink account?
Please visit http://www.gatorlink.ufl.eduOpens in a new window and click on ‘Create a new account’. You will need to enter your UFID number in order to set up a GatorLink account.
How do I obtain an email account?
Your department administrator should submit a request via email to help@dental.ufl.edu with the following information:
Full Name: (Al E. Gator)
GatorLink ID: (agator)
Alias: (algator@dental.ufl.edu)
Indicate affiliation: Faculty/Staff or Student
Access to: AxiUm, name specific shared folders, etc.
Email distribution lists: DN-Everyone, DN-Staff, DN-Faculty, etc.
How do I obtain the appropriate security roles in PeopleSoft?
Your roles are specific to your position and job duties. Please contact your DSA-Department Security Administrator for role assignments and requests.
Am I required to complete the HIPAA and Privacy training?
Yes. All faculty, staff, students, and volunteers at the Health Science Center must complete HIPAA & Privacy General Awareness training within 5 days of hire and all HSC employees are required (per the UF Privacy Office) to complete their annual renewal during the months of January-February.
To complete the HIPAA training, log onto myUFLOpens in a new window and search for the required training under My Self Service > Training and Development > Request Training Enrollment > Search by Course Number (PRV800 for General Awareness training or PRV801 for Research training—only one is required).

I have completed the "Research & Information Privacy" training; am I still required to complete the "HIPAA & Privacy General Awareness" training?
No. The "Research & Information Privacy" training consolidates HIPAA for Researchers and General Awareness, so this training will satisfy the requirement for both trainings.
Who should take the Bloodborne Pathogen and OSHA training and how often does this need to be done?
All college personnel who are involved in any clinical activity must have had both the Bloodborne Pathogen and OSHA training. This is a requirement of employment and then updated yearly, by March, thereafter.
Take the Bloodborne Pathogen Program Quiz
You will need a Gatorlink username and password to proceed. The training is located under the Infection Control Program where you will find a powerpoint presentation followed by a quiz. The quiz also uses your Gatorlink username and password to challenge. At the end of the quiz, once submitted, you will know you score. You can print out a certificate of completion for your records, but once submitted it is captured by the program.

All employees must enroll in benefits within 60 days of hire. Eligible faculty members should inquire about the College of Dentistry fringe benefits by contacting Melissa Long at mlong@dental.ufl.edu.

How often do I get paid?
Faculty and staff are paid biweekly. The payroll schedule may be found at the University Payroll Services websiteOpens in a new window.
Is Direct Deposit of my paycheck required?
Yes, direct deposit is required for all University faculty and staff. Please print, complete, and fax the Direct Deposit Authorization FormPDF to Payroll Services.
Your first paycheck will be a paper check until you are officially entered into the payroll system. Your check will be available for pick-up after 10:00 a.m. on payday in the Dean’s Office (D4-15). Please bring a photo ID.
