We regretfully announce that the 1-Year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in Jacksonville, Florida, will not be accepting applications for July 2010.
If you have already applied to the Jacksonville AEGD program, you can request to have your application transferred to the University of Florida's 1-Year AEGD program in Seminole, Florida. Please notify us at the address below, in writing, before Thursday, October 1, 2009 if you would like your application transferred to our AEGD program in Seminole, Florida.

Collins Award Winner: Dr. Parrish King
The J. Frank Collins Award was established in 2000 and is presented annually to the University of Florida College of Dentistry – Jacksonville General Dentistry Resident who most exhibits the qualities of dedication, cooperation, service, efficiency and excellence while providing patients with comprehensive dental care. Previous award winners were Chana Tocharoen (Med Univ S Car 2000), Harry Singh (Univ Toronto 2001), Nadine Kobty (U Mich 2002), Jared Buck (U Pacific 2003), Mardily Gonzalez (U Puerto Rico 2004), Kyle Hogg (U Mich 2005), Shawn Douglas (U N Car 2006), and Brett Wells (U N Car 2007). This year's winner of the J. Frank Collins award for excellence in general dentistry is Dr. (Robert) Parrish King.
Dr. King is a graduate of the University of Alabama – Birmingham Dental School. He was selected as the winner of the J. Frank Collins Award because of his many outstanding accomplishments during his year of postgraduate dental education. In addition to demonstrating the highest level of dedication, cooperation and service, Parrish displayed unusual efficiency and productivity. His comprehensive approach to complex issues enabled him to provide outstanding and well-planned dental care to all of his patients. In one short year of postgraduate training, Parrish placed 18 dental implants and restored more than 30, performed 34 periodontal surgeries, and treated more than 800 patients, including more than 200 dental emergency patients. He also performed Block Graft Surgeries and Lateral Ridge Augmentations. His polished skills and superlative talents will enable him to become a leader in the dental profession. Parrish, we are so very proud of you! We celebrate your exceptional performance.
