Biographical Information

James G. Green, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.D., obtained his dental degree from Indiana University in 1981 and completed a two-year postgraduate program in Oral Diagnosis/Oral Medicine at Indiana University in 1982. He joined the faculty at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1982 and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 1988. In 1985, he was named the Director of the General Practice Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center until 1990 when he entered the postgraduate residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He obtained his medical degree in May of 1993 and completed a two-year program in General Surgery. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in 1996.

Dr. Green joined the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery faculty at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1996 and is currently Clinical Associate Professor, Residency Program Director and Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.

He is a Diplomate in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow in the American College of Dentists. Dr. Green specializes in pathology, ORN, reconstruction, microneurosurgery and dental implants. He is also a flight surgeon for NASA and has provided medical support for several shuttle launches and landings.
