What type of care are you interested in?
Free Dental Care
Unfortunately, the college is unable to provide free dental care. There may be services available through federally-qualified health centers.
Urgent Care
- Tooth extractions performed in the Student Oral Surgery (SOS) Clinic
- When possible, patients are referred to Endodontics for further evaluation in an effort to save the affected tooth
- Patients for the day are selected by a lottery-type system at 7:00 a.m. Monday–Friday
- $145 fee (exam, X-ray and simple extraction)

Student Dental Clinics
- Fees are generally 30 to 50 percent less than in private practice
- Open to the public (patients will be screened to ensure dental needs are compatible with educational needs)
- Dental students perform care, supervised by faculty members
- To apply for a screening appointment, download the patient pre-screening application
to print out, complete and mail to us. You may also call 352-273-9097 to request an application be mailed to you.
Faculty Practice
- Dental Faculty see patients in a private practice setting. We are a quality dental facility, managed by highly qualified dental care professionals.
- All types of general and specialty care treatments performed by our faculty members
- Fees are comparable to private practice

Specialty Care
Dental residents (graduate students) provide care in these clinics for slightly lower fees than in faculty practice/private practice.
- Children's Dental Care
- Endodontics (root canals)
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
- Orthodontics (braces)
- Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges and dentures)
- Periodontology (gum disease treatment)
