Sterilization Monitoring and Consultation Services
The Department of OMSDS offers an annual subscription to a sterilizer monitoring and consultation service. This service helps private practitioners comply with current infection control recommendations and includes:
Monitoring
Monthly biologic testing of heat sterilizers, according to criteria from Rule 21G-25 of the Florida Board of Dentistry. Weekly, monthly and bi-monthly testing is available. Additional testing is also available to identify problems at no additional cost.
Written documentation of test results will be provided (third party verification).
Consultation
- Trouble-shootingsterilization problems by telephone
- Updates on infection control and a 100 plus page manual on infection control.
- Assistance regarding compliance with OSHA regulations
- Resource for infection control information
- A competitively priced basic service is also available.
