university; thus, research is an important component of our mission.
Research and scholarship are focused on the creation of new knowledge
that will enhance our
teaching and service missions. The UF College of Dentistry currently
ranks in the top 10 among the 55 dental schools in the United States
in federal funding for research. In addition we are committed to
seek support for our research and training activities through industry
and state funding.
The collaborative research efforts of our faculty, staff, and students to explore new scientific concepts and critically assess contemporary treatment modalities have led to new knowledge that will be translated into clinical practice to support our standards of teaching and patient care, which is the ultimate goal of our profession.
