Main Interests:
Clinical Responsibilities
include supervising senior dental students and their interaction with
hygiene students in the follow up care of previously completed patients
in our Oral Health Maintenaince clinic. Clinical activities and lectures
in Oral Diagnosis and Treatment Planning are also in my area of responsibilities.
I serve as an attending faculty
in Sleep Disorders, a division of the Parker E. Mahan Facial Pain Center.
I am also serving as the Course Director for our Dental Sleep Medicine
Course for both the junior and senior years and additional lectures
covering Sleep Medicine for the second year dental students.
Sleep Disorders are my main
area of interest and the area of research I am pursuing. Currently I
am working on an outcomes assessment on the oral appliances I have provided
to patients. The attitude of our staff in their care, the effectiveness
of various oral appliances, and how well they have benefited from their
treatment when follow up sleep studies are completed. Other sleep related
studies are also under way.
