International Dentist Admissions: Financial Aid

Cost of Attendance    FAFSA   Timeline

Overview

Many international students find financial aid confusing. Most students find themselves enrolling in school completely unfamiliar with the financial aid process. Often students are not aware of the many steps involved in obtaining financial aid. Some people think that there is a lot of scholarship and loan money available and that this money is easy to obtain. This is often not true. By following instructions and requests from the financial aid office in a timely manner, students can negotiate the financial aid maze.

One of the best things you can do is get a copy of the Student Financial Aid Guide at: http://studentaid.ed.gov/students/publications/student_guide/index.html.

This guide tells you what student financial aid is all about. It is available in English and Spanish language versions.

If you have any additional questions about financial aid, please contact Mr. Tom Kolb at the Dental Student Financial Aid Office at (352) 846-1384 or e-mail tom_kolb@sfa.ufl.edu
