COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to present the new advances in the diagnosis and treatment of common oral lesions. The General Dentist is challenged with a variety of oral conditions which may represent a spectrum of benign and malignant lesions. Emerging studies also point to a strong association between oral and systemic conditions.
This course will provide an update and present a systematic approach to oral medicine conditions.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At conclusion, participants should be able to:
- Describe diagnosis and treatment of non plaque related oral infectious diseases
- Understand a systematic approach to diagnosis and treatment of recurrent aphthous stomatitis
- Recognize the differential diagnosis of vesiculo- ulcerative lesions
- Identify oral manifestations of systemic diseases
- Understand the rationale underlying the Oral systemic connection, cardiovascular diseases and pre term delivery
- Identify medical condition that may modify dental treatment
