Rotations
The intent of extramural
assignments is to facilitate our dental students' growth and maturation
in the profession of dentistry and to assist their transition
from dental student to practitioner. The goal of these rotations
is to reinforce the knowledge and skills in clinical and community
dentistry through a series of educational experiences. Efforts
are made to expose each student to a variety of clinical procedures
with a diverse population, to include both well and medically
compromised individuals. In addition, students will have
opportunities to interact with other health professionals as well
as community leaders on individual clinical care and other health
care issues facing the community-at-large.
Excluding the ACORN clinic all rotations are currently
two 2-week assignments.
