Interests:
Dr. Vertucci completed
both his D.M.D. degree and specialty training in endodontics at
the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He holds
board certification in endodontics and is a fellow of the American
and International College of Dentists. He joined the Department
of Endodontics at the University of Florida in 1975, was named
department chairman in 1980, and became the director of the Postgraduate
Endodontic Program in 1996. Dr. Vertucci has received the Teacher
of the Year Award and Outstanding Clinical Professor Award in
recognition of his teaching. An internationally known author and
lecturer, he is currently researching the effects of new endodontic
material and effect of calcium hydroxide and endosonics on canal
disinfection and cleanliness.
