Main Interests:

Over the past years, I have served as a consultant to many institutions and organizations, primarily as advisor and evaluator. The most frequent assignment has been as the outside evaluator for federal grants in education, especially for Title III programs under the Higher Education Act. However, my interests have in recent years turned more to working with centers and teams who specialize in care of children with cleft palates and other craniofacial disorders. Part of my work with the UF Craniofacial Center requires that I develop programs with colleagues in centers where the patient load is sufficient to engage in significant cooperative research. As a result, we now have cooperative agreements and ongoing research with partners in hospitals in Brazil, Russia, and Ukraine. My work now takes me to these countries frequently, as well as to countries where we are developing relationships.
