The
orthodontic specialty training program is 35 months in duration
with a strong and early exposure to clinical orthodontics. Residents
are dual enrolled in the Graduate School and receive a Masters
of Science reflecting their chosen field of research. Clinical
rotations in Craniofacial Anomalies and Facial Pain allow significant
multidisciplinary interaction amongst a variety of departments
including Audiology, Facial Pain, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,
Pediatric Dentistry, Pediatric Medicine and Plastic Surgery. Attendance
and participation in state, regional and national orthodontic
conferences is strongly encouraged and subsidized. A yearly stipend
is awarded to all residents.
