Biographical Sketch:

Dr. Jerrell earned a BA in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and his DDS from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.  Following dental school, he worked for the state of Missouri treating underprivileged children in rural areas. He was in the private practice of general dentistry from 1974 through 1978.  He earned his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha. He joined the faculty at the University of Florida in August of 1980.  He has been a member of several committees since joining the faculty including the Curriculum Committee and Clinical Affairs Committee.  He is currently the Secretary Treasurer of the Florida Society of Dentistry for Children.   His outside interests mainly revolve around his family although he does play a little golf.
