Dr. Burtner is involved in
providing oral health care to people with disabilities and developing strategies
to improve access to comprehensive oral health care for this special population.
Research interests include, identification and reduction of health care
access barriers for people with disabilities, accommodation of people with
disabilties in the general dental practice and development of strategies
to improve oral hygiene. Educational interests include web-based learning
and multimedia presentation.
