Biographical
Information:
Robert E. Primosch, DDS, MS,
MEd, is a Professor of Pediatric Dentistry and Associate Dean of Education
at the University of Florida. He earned his DDS at the Medical College
of Virginia, his MS and certificate in pediatric dentistry at the University
of Minnesota, and his MEd in educational psychology at the University of
Oklahoma. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and
the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American
Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He has served as the President of the
Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Director of the Southeastern Society
of Pediatric Dentistry, and Chair of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Primosch currently serves as a consultant to the Commission on Dental
Accreditation of the American Dental Association and the National Board
of Dental Examination’s Orthodontics - Pediatric Dentistry Test Construction
Committee. He has also served on the Editorial Boards of Pediatric Dentistry,
Update in Pediatric Dentistry, and Journal of Dentistry for Children.
A prolific author and lecturer, he has contributed over 50 articles to
scientific journals and has co-authored three editions of the textbook,
Fundamentals
of Pediatric Dentistry, published by Quintessence Publishing Company.
Dr. Primosch is former Chairman of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry where he currently serves
as Director of the residency training program.
